Sustainable Floristry

British Flowers. Sustainable Techniques. Inspired Futures.

Welcome

We’re so glad you found us.

Whether you’re a flower lover dreaming of creating beautiful arrangements at home, a florist looking to work more sustainably, or a flower farmer wanting to add floristry to your business, you’re in the right place.

The world of floristry can feel overwhelming. From mechanics and techniques to materials, sustainability and design, there is a huge amount to learn and often no clear place to start. That’s where we come in.

At The British School of Sustainable Floristry, we believe floristry should be beautiful, accessible and kind to the environment. We champion seasonal flowers, sustainable techniques and thoughtful design, teaching you how to create naturally beautiful work without relying on floral foam or single-use plastics.

More importantly, we believe knowledge should be shared. No gatekeeping. No industry secrets. No unnecessary jargon. Just honest, practical teaching from people who live and breathe flowers every day.

Founded by florist and educator Carol Peacock and flower farmer Roz Chandler, our school brings together decades of experience in both floristry and flower growing. Together, we teach sustainable floristry from soil to stem — helping students understand not only how to arrange flowers beautifully, but where those flowers come from and how their choices can make a positive impact.

Whether you’re learning for pleasure, building a business, or developing your professional skills, we’ll give you the confidence, techniques and inspiration to create floristry that feels natural, abundant and truly sustainable.
